What is Royak
Royak runs a company of AI employees for you. You build the departments, hire the employees, connect your apps and give the work; Royak keeps every step inside the permissions, approvals and budgets you set.

The idea in one minute#
A company on Royak looks like a real one. It has departments, such as Sales or Support, and AI employees in them, each with a role, instructions and the apps they may use. You give them work as tasks, goals or routines, and you watch it happen in a 3D office.
Take Kestrel Supplies, the example company in these docs: it delivers office and workshop supplies across the Balkans. Its five departments (Sales, Support, Operations, Finance and Marketing) each have a lead and two people. Mira Petrova, Head of Sales, writes the week’s sales priorities every Monday; Jonas Weber’s Support team drafts replies to customers from the returns policy; Nadia Haddad’s Finance team matches receipts. None of them sends anything to a customer until the owner says yes.
Employees only work on what they are given. Hiring or editing an employee never calls an AI model and never costs anything; an employee with nothing to do stays idle.
The office#
The Office is where you supervise. Each employee’s pose and screen colour is their status, a speech bubble says the step they are on, and anyone waiting for you walks to your room. Beside the floor, Needs you lists what waits for your decision and Just did what was finished. The same people and statuses are in a plain List view, which also works where 3D isn’t available. The words you will see#

| Company | Your workspace: its people, apps, knowledge, spending and history. Nothing is shared between companies. |
| Department | A team with its own island in the office, such as Sales. Its Lead reviews the others’ work. |
| Employee | An AI worker with a role, instructions, a model and the access you grant. A draft takes no work until you activate it. |
| Task | One piece of work with a brief. It is done only when its deliverable is stored and passes its checks. |
| Goal | A bigger outcome. Chat turns it into a plan of tasks across departments, which you approve before anything starts. |
| Routine | A task that repeats on a timetable, such as every Monday at 8am. |
| Skill | Written know-how: the steps, checks and documents for one kind of work. A skill never grants access. |
| Knowledge | Documents your employees search and cite, each visible to the whole company, one department or one employee. |
| Connection | An app you connect, such as Gmail or Slack. Each employee gets None, Read or Read and write on it. |
| Approval | Your yes to one exact action before it changes anything outside Royak. |
| Deliverable | What a task produces, kept with every version in Artifacts. |

How you stay in control#

| Approvals | Reads run freely. Anything that sends, creates, changes or deletes waits for your approval of that exact action, unless a standing approval you made covers it. |

Work runs on Royak’s servers, so closing your browser stops nothing. When something needs you, it waits in your Inbox and nothing runs or is charged while it waits.
What Royak does not do#
- It doesn’t act on its own. Employees work only on tasks, goals, routines and intakes you set up, and stay idle otherwise.
- It doesn’t send from a mailbox of its own. Replies and posts go out through the apps you connect, with your approval.
- It has no voice or phone agents, no chat widget for your website and no mobile app; you use it in the browser, on a computer or a phone.
- It holds no SOC 2 or ISO certification. Its database is in the EU (Ireland); see Security.
- It doesn’t mark up your AI provider’s bill. With your own key on Paid, the provider bills you directly.
Questions#
Do I need an AI key to start?
No. Both plans include monthly credits that pay for AI work on Auto, the model Royak picks for each job. Paid adds your own key; see How credits work.
Is the Free plan a trial?
No. Free is permanent, with 1,000 credits a month and room for three employees. See Free and Paid.
Can an employee spend money or send email without me?
Only within a standing approval you created, with its caps and expiry. Everything else that writes to an app waits for you, and AI cost is always reserved inside your limits first.
